Kids are the squad. We guard the squad.
SquishyMax is built for young collectors, so safety isn't a feature here - it's the foundation. These are the rules everything on this site follows, now and as new features launch.
Avatars only - never photos of people
Every member is a squishy mug avatar. Real photos of faces or people are not allowed anywhere on SquishyMax - not in profiles, not in collection photos, not in listings. Collection photos show plush, and only plush.
Zero personal information
No real names, ages, schools, cities, addresses, phone numbers, emails, or social handles - anywhere public. Usernames are squishy nicknames, never real names. If it can identify a kid, it doesnβt belong on the site, and we remove it.
No private messages
SquishyMax has no DMs and never will for young collectors. Everything happens in public, moderated spaces. Nobody can pull a member into a private conversation - thatβs where grooming starts, so the door simply doesnβt exist.
Age rules that protect
Accounts require age 13+, and under-18 collectors need a parent or guardian involved. Under 13? Browse and enjoy with a grown-up - accounts and marketplace are for the older squad or a parent-run family account.
Moderated everything
Community posts, listings, and photos are subject to review. Asking a member for personal info, photos, or off-site contact = instant permanent ban, and where the law was broken, a report to authorities. No warnings, no second chances.
Built by a family, watched by a family
SquishyMax is run by Luxβs family. The directors read every safety report personally. If something ever feels wrong, tell us below - and tell a trusted adult.
π¨ Pick-a-mug avatars
When accounts launch, this is how members will look - a mug, never a face. Crowns go to Max Collectors:
πͺ For parents & guardians
- The site collects the minimum possible: a waitlist email and, later, account login. We never ask kids for personal details, and public spaces are stripped of them.
- Marketplace buying and selling for under-18s requires your supervision - treat it like any online purchase you'd make together.
- Talk to your collector about the golden rule: nobody on a plush site ever needs your name, photo, school, or address. Anyone asking is the reason the report button exists.
- Questions or concerns? Reach the directors at support@squishymax.com - a parent answers.
π€ Help beyond SquishyMax
Being safe online is bigger than one website. These are trusted, free organizations every collector and family should know about. Saving one of these numbers is a grown-up move.
